Trying Something New

Have you ever tried eating pickled onions while on a rollercoaster? Or sunbathing in the rain? 

Well, I would not recommend it, however, trying something new can sometimes surprise you. Even if you are stuck in your ways or have a set routine, why not spice things up?

 I have recently tried a new software. I am familiar with many Adobe platforms such as Photoshop, InDesign and After Effects, but when asked to complete a logo animation for a recent client, I looked into different options. Adobe Animate came straight to my mind. I used the suggested tutorial (I would highly recommend doing this with any new software #toptip) and it was not long till I completed the logo for my client, which can be found using the link below. I was ecstatic at the result of my first logo animation and I can not wait to create more!!!

Another new thing of mine is setting myself daily goals #feelingrefreshed. I was given a ‘Zelo’ diary for Christmas (find out more about Zelo below) and since using it, I have noticed a change in my organisation, mental and physical health, and general drive to accomplish challenges. I can not stress enough how important looking after your mental health is. Simply having a daily checklist or achievable goal of what you would like to achieve day to day, might make you feel that motivation or sense of happiness that you were missing. Another #toptip on looking after YOU is giving yourself time to relax. ALL of you: get a face-mask on, run a bubble bath and pour yourself a G&T. Relaxation is our body’s way of rejuvenating (White, 2018). I can sense some of you are thinking “I don’t have time”, so the only thing I can say is MAKE THE TIME.
